Sanctuary Farm is an excellent launching pad from which to explore some of Lake Naivasha’s attractions. Most notably, it is just a short boat ride from Crescent Island. The campsite offers hot showers, toilets, and running water, and the grounds are well-kept. It is also less trafficked than some of the more popular campsites along the lake. Within the sanctuary, you can enjoy observing a resident population of bat-eared foxes—truly a unique and very cute creature—as well as various antelopes and giraffes roaming in the grass and beneath the yellow-barked acacia trees that dot the landscape.
