Located in the heart of the storied Laikipia region of Kenya, Lolldaiga Hills offer campers a truly enriching wilderness experience. The founders and operators of this conservancy have been diligent in preserving and encouraging wildlife in the area through the development of dozens, if not hundreds, of dams, both in the lowlands and in the hills. Visitors benefit from this effort, as you are sure to be greeted by an array of beautiful sights—waterbirds navigating the shallows, elephants grazing in the hills, and the occasional eland (or, if you’re lucky, a lion) dotting the landscape.

Originally established as a colonial ranch in the early 20th century, Lolldaiga Hills has since been transformed into one of the most pristine wilderness areas in the region. The area is renowned for its rich biodiversity and vast, rolling hills offering excellent, scenic hikes. Campers can pitch their tents in designated camping areas within the ranch, surrounded by stunning views of the hills and plains.
